I was asked to join a collaboration with Julie Bargmann and D.I.R.T., studio, reimagining the World Trade Center Memorial as a landscape project, for a special issue of the New York Times Magazine. Instead of reimagining the physical place of the World Trade Center Site, we proposed a process, whereby a continuous process of
creating soil and trees at the Fresh Kills landfill site enriched the neighbourhoods of terrorist victims, as part of a yearly cycle of remembrance, renewal, and growth.
